How to Get Accurate Prayer Times in the Ramadan Calendar App?

Accurate prayer times are calculated based on your location using specific rules and methods, including angular values.

Types of Prayer Times in the App

  1. Pre-Calculated Prayer Times
  2. Prayer Times with Manual Settings

How to Ensure Accurate Prayer Times for Your City

  1. Prayer times for many major cities are already verified, and new ones are frequently added.
  2. If you want prayer times for your city to be verified, kindly request your local mosque or religious organization to send their prayer schedule to info@islamprostudio.com.
  3. Note: Only prayer times sent by mosques or religious  organizations are considered for verification. Submissions from individuals or third parties are not accepted.

Automatic Settings (Pre-Calculated Prayer Times)

  • Cities with verified prayer times display a special “Verified” badge next to the city or location name.
  • Ensure that [Automatic Settings] for prayer times is enabled for the most accurate results.

Manual Settings

  • While the app applies the best settings automatically based on your location, you can make manual adjustments if needed.
  • To adjust prayer times:
    • Go to [Settings] and select [Prayer Time Settings].
    • Use the [Manual corrections] option to fine-tune timings, especially if small discrepancies (1-10 minutes) exist between the app and your local mosque.

For Larger Discrepancies

  1. Modify the Prayer Time Calculation convention from the app’s settings.
  2. You can also adjust the Asr calculation method or set higher latitude methods for extreme locations.

Daylight Saving Time (DST) Errors

  • If all prayer times are off by one hour, check your device’s DST settings and ensure they’re correct.
